For the cigarette manufacturer, Eltrex installed approximately 450 field equipments: sensors and actuators. Approximately 10000 tags are taken over in SCADA platform; for the hardware realization of the automation system, Siemens PLCs from the S7-300 and S7-400 series were used.
The Eltrex team performed the automation of the air conditioning system and the pumping units, which involved: 17 AHUs with capacities between 12500 and 53000 m³, 2 chiller units and 2 cooling tower units. Also, the installation takes signals from the electrical installation such as: the breakers condition, the electricity consumption, etc.
Within the project, Eltrex performed:
• Production of the automation cabinets, related to the HVAC automation system
• Installation of sensors and actuators related to the HVAC system
• Sensors and actuators wiring
• Realization of the local automation of AHUs, chillers and cooling towers
• SCADA platform – development of the software that takes data from the field, displays it and allows remote control of elements in the field
• Commissioning
