Continental Automotive Timisoara has invested in a new project meant to neutralize the emissions from the rubber mixing zone of its tire factory in Timisoara. The new equipment is called RTO – Regenerative Thermal Oxidation and destroys volatile organic compounds (molecules responsible for most odors) that appear in the production process, by oxidizing them at high temperature.
Eltrex, as a general contractor, executed the infrastructure, installation and software works for this project.
The works included:
- Realization of foundations and metal platforms
- Installation of the HVAC extraction system and the compressed air installation
- Execution of electrical installations related to the new RTO
- System automation and integration in the Continental BMS
