FOCUS:

Addressing the complexity of integrating electrical automation systems for a gas-heated furnace and comprehensive conveyor system within a ceramic filter factory.

OBJECTIVE:

To deliver a fully functional electrical installation for the automation and control of the thermal treatment process and conveyor system, ensuring efficient and safe operation.

SOLUTION:

  • Cabling from manufacturers like LAPP (power and signal cables), Siemens (Profinet and fiber optics), Belden (NiCrNi cables), and ABB (motors and control devices).
  • Implemented safety sensors and control systems from Honeywell and Schneider Electric.

PROJECT DURATION:

THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF:

Eltrex undertook the electrical automation installations for the new ceramic filter thermal treatment plant constructed by Eisenmann in Gliwice, Poland. The project encompassed:

Process area:

  • Installation of electrical systems for a gas-heated furnace comprising approximately 90 burner groups and 30 fans for air recirculation.
  • Cabling and connecting filters and exhaust treatment equipment (RTO+DeNox).
  • Installation of 9 automation and power distribution panels for fan motors.

Conveyor system:

  • Setup of 2 conveyor lines, one inside and one outside the furnace.
  • Integration of around 40 motors and 4 lifting tables for raw material and finished product transport.
  • Installation of 3 automation panels for the conveyor system.

Cabling:

  • Utilization of approximately 120,000 meters of cables with conductor sections ranging from 0.25 mm² to 50 mm², including Profinet fiber optics and special NiCrNi cables.
  • Motors in both the process area (fans) and conveyor system.
  • Furnace burners.
  • Control devices for the technological process (differential pressure switches, thermocouples, pressure sensors, ventilation system dampers, air and gas flow control solenoid valves).
  • Sensors across the conveyor system for process monitoring and efficiency.
  • Proximity sensors to minimize accident risks during production.
