OBJECTIVE:
Maintain 25% relative humidity and 22 degrees Celsius in the production halls and warehouse to ensure the quality and consistency of tire production materials.
SOLUTION:
- Air handling unit (AHU) from Flakt
- Chiller from Daikin
- Siemens S7-1500 PLCs for automation
- Siemens TP1900 Comfort HMI for interface
- Integration into the factory BMS system using Siemens WinCC
- Field instrumentation from Siemens (sensors, actuators, valves, etc.)

THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF:
Eltrex served as the general contractor for this project, in which we had to design and build an ambiental control system for a Creel Room in the tire manufacturing industry.
The main activities performed for this project were:
- Designing the automatic temperature and humidity control system for the Creel Room with the purpose of maintaining 25% relative humidity at 22°C across the two floors of the deposit.
- Conducting mechanical, electrical, and architectural works for the automation system, along with software development and commissioning.
- Installing an air handling unit (AHU) from Flakt and a local chiller from Daikin.
- Building and installing the automation cabinet based on Siemens S7 PLCs and TP1900 HMI.
- Choosing and installing the field instrumentation (sensors, actuators, valves, etc).
- Executing the electrical installation.
- Developing the PLC software and making the commissioning of the system.
- Integrating the entire process in the existing BMS based on Siemens WinCC.
