FOCUS:
The main challenge was integrating the new air treatment and odor reduction system with the existing automation of six extrusion lines, ensuring seamless communication and control.
OBJECTIVE:
The objective was to deliver a fully functional and integrated electrical and automation system that enhances air quality and reduces odors, improving the working environment and compliance with environmental regulations.

THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF:
Eltrex designed and built the entire electrical and automation system for a new air treatment and odor reduction installation at a tire manufacturing facility. The scope of work included:
Electrical Design:
MCC Electrical panel:
- Utilized S7 1515-2 PN PLC
- Integrated TP1900 Comfort HMI
- Employed Siemens G120C Frequency Inverters
- Incorporated Schneider protection devices
- Included Phoenix Contact switches and power supplies
Block Diagram: created a comprehensive block diagram of the entire automation system
Installation Details: detailed the electrical installation including cable trays and fiber optic routes
Automation:
- Developed PLC software
- Configured and commissioned frequency inverters
- Developed HMI software
- Developed and integrated WinCC SCADA software
- Interfaced the system with the local automation of all six extrusion lines via digital IO and Profinet
