OBJECTIVE:

Electrical design in Eplan had to be finished in 4 weeks from PO and the cabinet was delivered on site 6 weeks later. The onsite installation lasted 4 weeks, followed by two weeks of commissioning assistance for IO check and startup with the client.

PROJECT DURATION:

THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF:

Process automation:

  • Pre-treatment area – 3 zones for rinsing, degreasing and cleaning
  • 1 adhesive water dryer (HWT) with gas burner.
  • 1 paint dryer with gas burner
  • 2 air handling units with heat recovery and humidity control
  • Filtering units and connection to the RTO system
  • Lighting installations and monitoring installations of the filters for the paint booth

Conveyor automation:

  • 9 independent overhead shuttle conveyors
  • 7 decentralized panels, with Beckhoff I/O modules, for motor control and data acquisition
  • Profinet communication network between the process automation and conveyor system

Application technology:

  • Paint robot interface via failsafe I/O
